The objective for this hotel was to create a boutique hotel that is located along The High Line in New York City. The High Line attracts many tourists for its unique urban park qualities. The developer would like for the design to take inspiration from the High Line and integrate principles of biomimicry and biophilia into the hotel lobby. The challenge was to create a design concept that uses nature as a metaphor and to develop a design strategy that implements this concept into the overall user experience. This project was done in collaboration with Mollie Kunar.
